Basik Tricks If your a beginner to the art of
skateboarding, then this is the right page for you it contains only the most detailed
understandble trick tips on the net. Everything you need to know to start ollying or just
not to fall off is here... Positions This is probably the most important thing about skateboarding, without it you would not do anything. The first thing you need to know is, if you are regular footed or not. Regular footed means that you stand with your right foot at the tail of the board and use your right to kick along, if you arent regular footed then you use your left for everything said above. The way to find this out is to stand on your board and see wich way you are most comfertable (it will be quite obvious)... If you know which is your good foot you just need to know how to stand on your board, put your right foot on the tail of the board (from a regular footers point of view), and your left in the middle at an angle of 45 towards the front. Your body should be facing forward and your feet should be pointing to your right, it is a good idea to bend your knees and back to act like suspension to give you stability...
Tricks Manual- All you need to do to manual is to aply more weight to your tail foot so that your unbalanced. Stop the board from tipping over using your front foot Ollie- To ollie you need to gain a bit of speed, next you to bend your knees and lower your arms (the lower you go the higher you ollie), next kick down quickly whith your tail and at the same time kind of jump and lift your arms. Bring your front foot up the board to level it out. When you feel your wheels hit the ground bend your knees to soften the landing! |
